How can a non-UAP Filipino or Foreign Architect be
nominated as Honorary Member of the College of Fellows?
Q: What is the Likha Gold Medal Award? The Likha Gold Medal Award is the highest distinction bestowed by the National Board upon a Fellow of the UAP. This award is in recognition of the achievement of this UAP Fellow of the highest standards of ethical conduct and professional excellence in the practice and service in the different fields of architectural practice. This award is also in recognition of his distinguished contribution and service to UAP, to his community, to the government and to the country. |

What is a "Member Emeritus"? The title "Member Emeritus" is conferred to a corporate member who has been in good standing for a continuous thirty-five (35) years and has retired from the practice of architecture. This is upon recommendation by the Membership Committee. Q: What are the rights and privileges of a "Member Emeritus"? A "Member Emeritus" shall be exempt from the payment of all fees and dues yet shall continue to enjoy all the rights and privileges of corporate membership. He shall have the right to print after his name the initials "EUAP." Q: What is an "Honorary Member"? An "Honorary Member" is a non-architect who has contributed and given special service to the architectural profession; arts or allied sciences, journalism and public service. |

What are the qualifications for conferment of Honorary
Member to a non-architect? A person to be conferred honorary membership to the UAP must be nominated by at least thirty (30) UAP Fellows in good standing. He must be recommended by the Committee on Membership and elected by the National Board. Q: What is a "Corresponding Member"? A "Corresponding Member" is a foreign architect who has contributed to the advancement of the architectural profession. Corresponding membership to the UAP does not entitle the foreign architect to practice in the Philippines. Q: What are the qualifications for Corresponding Membership to the UAP? A person to be conferred corresponding membership to the UAP must be nominated by at least thirty (30) UAP Fellows in good standing. He must be recommended by the Committee on Membership and elected by the National Board. |
