CORPORATE MEMBERSHIP FAQ


Q: Does a Corporate Member need to be a member of a chapter?

Every Corporate Member shall be a member of a UAP Chapter of his choice, whether on the basis of residence or place of practice.

Q: Can a Corporate Member be a member of two chapters?

A corporate member shall be a member of only one Chapter.

Q: What is a "Member in Good Standing"?

A corporate member who has paid his individual annual dues on or before September 30 of the fiscal year is considered a "Member in Good Standing" by the organization. He is able to receive the entire benefit of corporate membership to the UAP. If he attends and participates in Chapter activities he is called an "active member." If he does not he is merely a "sustaining" member. UAP encourages members to be "active members."

Q: What is a "Member Not in Good Standing"?

A corporate member who has not paid his dues on or before the set deadline in a fiscal year is considered a "Member Not in Good Standing" by the organization and because of such is withheld the privileges of corporate membership.

Q: What does a "Member Not in Good Standing" need to do to become once again a "Member in Good Standing'?

Accomplish two (2) sets of the Application Form for Membership Reactivation to Good Standing Status. Afterwards he shall submit this together with his payment of current and all arrears to the UAP Secretariat. His application and payment shall be processed after which he shall be reinstated to Good Standing Status.

Q: What does a corporate member need to do to transfer to another chapter?

Accomplish three (3) sets of the Application Form for Chapter Transfer and submit this to the Chapter President of his Chapter. If he is a "Member Not in Good Standing" he must apply first for Good Standing Status before applying for Chapter Transfer.

Q: What does a corporate member need to do to resign from the Organization?

Accomplish two (2) sets of the Membership Resignation Form and submit this to the Chapter Secretary. The accomplished Membership Resignation Form shall be endorsed by the Chapter Board to the National Board of Directors, who shall issue a decision.
