Q: What are the procedures in applying for corporate membership?


Step 1.

Select the UAP Chapter, which you want to join. Your chapter of choice must be near your place of residence or work so as for them to be able to follow you up effectively and for you to be easily able to attend the programs of the chapter.

Fill up the application form completely (no blank spaces please) and legibly. Please indicate your chapter of choice;

Prepare one 2” x 2” colored photo and one 1” x 1” colored photo. Place your signature at the back of each photo. Staple or paste the 2” x 2” colored photo to your application form on the space provided. When your application is accepted the 1” x 1” colored photo shall be for your UAP ID.

Prepare 600 pesos, in cash or check, to cover for your initiation fee (P100) and annual dues (P500). For checks, please make it payable to the UNITED ARCHITECTS OF THE PHILIPPINES.

Step 2.

If you are a new architect passing the immediate board exams, please bring these documents and your payment and submit them to the UAP table during the Oathtaking of New Architects, otherwise submit the documents to the UAP Secretariat.

The UAP staff shall review your accomplished application form for completeness and issue you an official receipt for your payment.

Step 3.

Wait for the Letter of Acceptance by the National Committee on Membership, which processes the applications for membership to the Organization.

Step 4.

Wait for correspondence or call from your Chapter of choice informing you about the date of your induction into the chapter together with other new architects. You may also call or write the Chapter President to inquire about the schedule of this event. You shall be presented during the induction ceremonies your: the Oath of Membership signed by the inducting officer, Certificate of Membership bearing your UAP Number, UAP ID bearing your UAP Number, the complete Policies and Procedures Manual for Corporate Membership to guide you with the membership protocols of the Organization.
